Yoga is a mindful practice of living and being and after 3,000+ years is still potent, relevant, and needed now more than ever. At its core, studying yoga is the study of life and self. Throughout our time together, you'll peal away layers, discover your authentic self, and learn how to offer your gifts and light to the world. With Liz's background in Education & Humanities, and Heather's background in Science & Yoga Therapy, and over 25 years of combined Yoga experience, this training will provide a well-rounded and holistic approach to the art and science of Yoga. This is a Yoga Alliance approved training.
This training will:
*Deepen your understanding of the 8 limbed path & the practices of Yoga
*Teach you Yogic philosophy, history, and traditions
*Provide a knowledge base of Anatomy and Physiology to create safe
practices and physical/energetic alignment
*Give you tools to lead a mindful and purposeful yoga class
*Awaken you to live a heart and soul centered life

* Yoga history, philosophy, and tradition
* Anatomy, Alignment, and Physiology
* Subtle energy: the five elements, the chakra system, yin/yang, koshas
* The Principles of Ayurveda
* Taking the seat of a teacher: finding your voice, effective sequencing/cueing,
creating safe and sustainable practices for all levels
* Professional Development: pathway to teach at Love Bird Yoga and elsewhere, networking and creating connections, leading workshops, how to create a fulfilling career
* Pranayama and Meditation
* The business and ethics of Yoga
* Bhakti Yoga: mantra, mudra, gods & goddesses
*One-on-one mentorship with Liz or Heather throughout the duration of YTT
